White Cherry Preserve

Did you know there are white cherries?! This variety of cherry is very unusual, but in Trás-os-Montes (Portugal) there are still some trees of these wonderful fruits. They result very well in the preserve. The result gets a magnificent golden hue, with almost whole cherries wrapped in a flowing jelly texture.

It's a very sweet preserve, ideal for a prolonged snack. Because of its texture with pieces of cherry, it can be used as cover/filling of pies and cakes, or in a very easy dessert, accompanying a vanilla ice cream.

It contains cinnamon.
